According to reports, users complained about touch response delay, and noticed some of the taps on the screen are not getting registered. The iOS 18.0.1 version is likely to be the last non-AI update from Apple for iPhone users.
Going by the release note of the iOS 18.0.1 update, Apple has managed to fix the following issues:
– This update provides important bug fixes and security patches for your iPhone including – touch screen may be temporarily unresponsive on iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models.
– Camera may freeze when recording macro video mode in 4K with the ultra-wide camera on iPhone 16 Pro models
– Messages may unexpectedly quit when replying to message with a shared Apple Watch face
The issue was limited to the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models that feature the 120Hz ProMotion display. One user on Reddit quoted in the report also mentions that the slim bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro series could have caused the problem.
