The new Qualcomm flagship chipset has been announced this week and we also know which brands will be using the new hardware to power their phones. We’re talking about some high-profile launches in the next few weeks, with the likes of OnePlus 13, Realme GT 7 Pro and Xiaomi 15 leading the headlines and bringing excitement to the consumers.
The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset promises high-end performance and AI support among others, and before we see Samsung unleash its devices, others are getting the first-mover benefit in 2024 itself.
OnePlus 13
The OnePlus 13 launch date has been confirmed by the brand this week and yes, the global debut will happen in China as expected. The company is making subtle but much-needed changes to its new flagship phone. The OnePlus 13 is expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset, it will have some crazy RAM power and a large capacity battery to double up with the fast charging technology. The India launch is expected in early 2025.
Realme GT 7 Pro
Realme has also confirmed its plans to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for the new, powerful GT 7 Pro smartphone. Realme is going to launch the device in November for the Indian market and is expected to offer a host of AI features like the other flagships these days and have some compelling hardware tech to appeal to the buyers.
iQOO 13
iQOO has also announced its next flagship phone which will be using the raw power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The company has even rolled out a teaser with ‘coming soon’ for the iQOO 13 smartphone, which is expected to be one of the affordable devices in the market with the new chipset, something iQOO has done previously.
Xiaomi 15
Xiaomi’s next flagship will understandably use the Snapdragon 8 Elite hardware but the company is yet to confirm its existence officially. Having said that, the roll out of the new chipset means we can expect further updates from the brand about the Xiaomi 15 launch which will hope to build on the AI prowess of the chipset.
